Choral Evensong

On Monday 30 April 2018, the choir sang Choral Evensong at St. Paul’s Cathedral. Cecilia McDowall’s Preces and Responses in D were performed together with her St Martin’s Magnificat and Nunc Dimittis. For the first time in the cathedral’s history, all the music for the choir’s Choral evensong at St Paul’s Cathedral at the end of April, was by female composers, including Celia McDowall and Roxanna Panufnik whose Love Endureth was performed by the choir as the anthem. The soprano solo by Maria Marshall, one the choir’s 2018 choral scholars, was particularly memorable in the great space of the cathedral.
